FROM A GARAGE TO AMERICAN MANUFACTURING.
Anderson Industries was founded in January 2006 by Kory Anderson. At 22 years old, after leaving college, Kory started the business in a garage in Andover, South Dakota, performing portable welding and machine work. What began as one young tradesman solving problems in the field grew into a manufacturing organization spanning fabrication, agricultural equipment, patternmaking and metal casting.
BUILT IN A GARAGE
At 22 years old, Kory Anderson left college and founded Anderson Industries in a garage in Andover, South Dakota. The company began by providing portable welding and machine work.
A MAJOR EXPANSION
Anderson Industries moved out of the garage and into the former K.O. Lee factory in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The company expanded into heavy steel fabrication and grew to approximately 60 employees.
ANDERSON MACHINE & THE FAMILY OPENER BRAND
Anderson Industries acquired Anderson Machine, bringing the Anderson family's agricultural opener brand into the growing company.
HORSCH ANDERSON
Kory became a shareholder and CEO of Horsch Anderson. Anderson Industries became the largest supplier of fabricated parts for Horsch products and grew to approximately 100 team members.
THE ANDERSON RAZOR OPENER
Anderson Industries patented the new Anderson Razor Opener, continuing the company's tradition of developing practical agricultural equipment.
ENTERING THE CASTING INDUSTRY
The acquisition of Dakota Foundry marked Anderson Industries' expansion into metal casting and began the evolution of what is now Anderson Foundries.
